Nilaqua Supports Circus Starr: Helping Create Magical Moments for Children

At Nilaqua, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to feel included, supported and cared for - and sometimes, that means helping create a little bit of magic.

We're delighted to have recently supported Circus Starr with a donation towards a ticket for a child who may otherwise not have the opportunity to attend one of their shows.

Bringing the magic of the circus to children who need it most

Circus Starr is a travelling circus that provides free, accessible and inclusive performances for children and families who face barriers to accessing live entertainment.

For many vulnerable and disable children, busy environments and traditional performances can feel overwhelming. Circus Starr's shows are designed with inclusion at their heart, creating an environment of the circus in a way that feels welcoming and accessible.

The impact can be much bigger than just an afternoon of entertainment.

Circus Starr shared they stroy of Freya, a child with sensory sensitivies who attended one of their performances with her parents. For Freya, busy and noisy environments can be difficult to navigate, but Circus Starr gave her the freedom to be herself, to move, make noise and enjoy the experience alongside other children.

Afterwards, her living room became her own little circus stage, filled with freestyle dancing and circus-inspired performances.

It's a wonderful reminder of how something that might seem like a simple day out can create a lasting memory and give a child the confidence to express themselves.

Creating opportunities to feel included

At Nilaqua, much of what we do is about helping people overcome barriers to personal care and everyday life.

Supporting organisations like Cricus Starr is a natural extension of that ethos.

Everyone deserves to feel included. Everyone deserves moments of joy. And every child deserves the chance to make special memories.

Circus Starr in Swansea

Circus Starr will be bringing its inclusive circus experience to Swansea on Sunday 13th September 2026, at Penyrheol Theatre, Pontarddulais Road, Swansea, SA4 4FG.

As a South Wales business, we're particularly pleased to support an event taking place within our local community.
